   Kerman University of Medical Sciences (KMU) welcomed the representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Iran on November 27, 2018.

   Dr. Christoph Hamelmann traveled to Kerman to get familiar with the research, education and health activities of Kerman University of Medical Sciences. In his first meeting with the Chancellor and Vice-chancellors of the University, he went on to learn about the KMU internationalization activities and the activities of research centers including Leishmaniasis, Hydatid Cyst, Oral and Dental Diseases, Environmental Health Engineering, HIV/HUB and the WHOCCs Secretariat in a two-hour meeting held in Pars Hotel in Kerman. The representative of the World Health Organization in Iran expressed appreciation for the activities carried out by these research centers.

   During his stay, he also visited the Maternity Facility Center in Zangiabad, Malayeri and Vahdat Health Services Centers for immigrants and foreigners.

   The Institute for Futures Studies in Health (IFSH) received Dr. Hamelmann on Wed. November 28 and the heads of the IFSH research centers as well as KMU Think Tank introduced their centers and achievements.

   In the afternoon, Dr. Hamelmann paid a visit to one of the KMU Drop-in-Centers and got familiar with Rostam project, being carried out by HIV/HUB.
