The White Coat Ceremony for international medical students of Kerman University of Medical Sciences was held on Monday, 10 Azar 1404 (December 1, 2025), with the presence of the university chancellor, vice-chancellors, managers, faculty members, staff, and international students at the Bahonar Hospital.
As one of the most important events dedicated to international students at the university, this ceremony was held in a warm and welcoming atmosphere and included various cultural and educational programs.
The program began with a recitation of the Holy Quran followed by the national anthem. Then, Dr. Hashemian, the chancellor of the University, welcomed the students and emphasized the importance of the white coat as a symbol of responsibility and the beginning of their professional medical journey, while also highlighting the university’s focus on educational quality.
Next, Dr. Sanjari, Dean of the School of Medicine, spoke about the essential role of professional ethics and humanistic values alongside scientific competence, encouraging students to uphold these principles throughout their future careers.
Following that, Dr. Mirzaie, Director of International Affairs, congratulated the students and stressed the importance of continuous effort, discipline, and adherence to professional standards. She also expressed appreciation for the contributions of the former Director of International Affairs, Dr. Amir Heydari.
In another part of the ceremony, a representative of the Counseling Unit of the Cultural and Student Affairs Office delivered a speech. Afterwards, top-ranking international students and the first international graduate of the university were formally recognized and honored.
The event continued with live musical performances, creating a joyful and culturally rich atmosphere for the students.
At the end of the ceremony, the official recitation of the Medical Oath was conducted by Dr. Amir Heydari. By taking the oath, the students pledged their commitment to medical ethics, the preservation of patient dignity, and efforts toward improving community health.
The ceremony concluded with group photographs and the formal donning of the white coats, marking an inspiring and memorable milestone for the students as they step into their professional medical careers.
