Vice-Chancellery for Cultural & Student Affairs

 

 

Mission

Our Cultural & Student Affairs Vice-Chancellery is invested with providing the students, as significant forces in all-round national development, with student and cultural support, brought forth by a dynamic environment, and endeavoring towards the wellbeing, growth, sublimation, and strengthening of epistemic, religious, social, and cultural understanding of students, and doing so, delivering purposeful assets to the society.

 

Specific Duties:

Administration and supervision of the proper execution of all student affairs at the university, in accordance with relevant approvals, regulations, and bylaws.

Establishment and management of the student affairs consultation process at the university in academic, welfare, and health matters.

Supervision of activities related to facilities provided to students and their welfare programs.

Planning for the management and enhancement of student union, welfare, health, and well-being affairs at the university.

Monitoring and evaluating the welfare, health, and well-being status of the institution and reporting to the university president.

Facilitating student participation, cooperation, and empathy to improve the university's conditions.

Leadership and supervision of the proper execution of all cultural affairs at the university among faculty, students, and staff, in accordance with relevant approvals, regulations, and bylaws, and in collaboration and coordination with other relevant entities.

Alignment and implementation of strategic policies of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution and committees for deepening and expanding Islamic culture and principles in institutions, in cultural and social matters.

Monitoring the overall cultural, educational, social, and political status of the university, as well as conducting necessary studies and research in collaboration with the university's research deputy to plan and set policies for cultural activities aimed at expanding and deepening Islamic-Iranian values at all university levels, and reporting to the Cultural and Social Council of the university.

Establishing and enhancing communication and cooperation with intellectual, cultural, and revolutionary centers, institutions, and organizations.

Planning to develop cultural, political, and ethical education through organizing training classes, seminars, and cultural, intellectual, and political academic gatherings, making optimal use of the capabilities of Islamic and revolutionary institutions, and supervising them.

Creating an environment to encourage university members to participate in various scientific, political, and cultural arenas in society.

Promoting a culture of dialogue, methodical critique, free thinking, and expanding opportunities for university members to engage with scientific, cultural, and political experts.

Content management of the Cultural and Social Council by facilitating the approval process of plans, proposing necessary programs, and following up on assigned tasks.

Following up on the communication of approvals, regulations, and bylaws, and informing relevant units inside or outside the institution, with the aim of coordinating and supervising their proper execution, and providing evaluation reports to the Cultural and Social Council of the university.

 

Organizational Objectives

This deputy strives, in line with the education and development of students' talents, which are among the university's main objectives, to play a key role as the main bridge between students and the university by preparing plans and programs and ultimately implementing them to meet the welfare, cultural, and vitality needs of students.

The most important objectives of this deputy are to create and enhance student welfare in dormitories and student cafeterias, discover talents and strengthen the cultural foundation of students, create vitality and boost the morale of young students through the implementation of cultural and sports programs, and ultimately utilize the thoughts and creativity of students in designing and executing programs.
