The Science Night
The Office of International Affairs of Kerman University of Medical Sciences welcomed a large number of visitors during The Science Night 2026 event under the slogan "Science Without Borders."
Throughout the event, the staff and international students introduced the mission, objectives, and activities of the Office of International Affairs, providing visitors with an overview of the University's internationalization initiatives. They also responded to questions regarding the number of international students, the diversity of nationalities represented at the University, and the opportunities for international academic collaboration.
Among the distinguished visitors to the booth were Dr. Shahin Akhondzadeh, Vice Minister for Research and Technology at the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, accompanied by Dr. Morteza Hashemian, chancellor of Kerman University of Medical Sciences, as well as the Governor of Kerman Province. During their visit, they were introduced to the University's international achievements and activities, expressing their appreciation for the initiatives presented at the booth.
In another section of the exhibition, international students shared gifts with Iranian children and invited visitors to experience the sport of cricket, symbolically promoting friendship, intercultural understanding, and the spirit of "Science Without Borders."
To further introduce the rich cultures of different nations, visitors were also welcomed with traditional Indian and Pakistani beverages, which were warmly received throughout the event.
One of the most memorable highlights of the International Affairs booth was the friendly interaction between visitors and the University's international students. In one particularly inspiring moment, a young Iranian visitor demonstrated remarkable fluency in English while engaging in an enjoyable conversation with several international students. The exchange attracted considerable attention from visitors and international students alike, illustrating how language serves as a bridge between cultures and nations.
The participation of the Office of International Affairs in Science Night 2026 provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the University's international activities, strengthen intercultural engagement, and promote scientific collaboration beyond geographical boundaries, reflecting the University's commitment to the vision of "Science Without Borders."
